What Makes the Rustic Style

Materials: White oak, hickory, maple, and cherry, plus reclaimed barnwood where appropriate. Hand forged steel, iron strapping, and patinated hardware. Wool, linen, cotton canvas, performance chenille, and full-grain leathers.
Palette: Earth tones in warm browns and honey, soft blacks and charcoal, stone gray, creamy neutrals, and natural greens like sage and moss. Accent colors in denim, clay, and barn red are used with restraint.
Forms: Substantial proportions, trestle and X bases, plank and breadboard tops, generous arms, square and turned legs, live edge options where the room calls for it.
Details: Exposed joinery, dowels and tenons, saw marks and rasping by request, hand planed surfaces, eased edges, rivets, and nail head accents. Drawers with deep sides and soft-close slides.
Comfort: Deep, relaxed seating with resilient cushions. Durable finishes that invite everyday use. Performance fabrics and protected leathers that clean easily.
